We are a Danish/German couple who have deep roots in the charming coastal village of Henne Kirkeby. This historic cottage was Katharina's childhood home, where she grew up surrounded by the beautiful meadows and heather fields of the Danish west coast. We made the decision to take over this beloved family home and undertake an extensive two-year renovation project to restore it as our own holiday retreat.

So many cherished memories took place here - long summers spent with our two children exploring the gardens, running freely through the meadows, and our family dog racing along the nearby beaches. Picking wildflowers and watching incredible sunsets over the North Sea created picture-perfect moments. We were even married in the picturesque 13th century church right in the heart of Henne Kirkeby village!

Sharing this deeply personal place with others as hosts and providing wonderful holiday experiences is now our passion. The cottage has been lovingly prepared to be a true hygge haven - simple but stylishly appointed with classic Danish design after its full revitalization. More than anything, we want our guests to experience the slow living, relaxed rhythms, and natural beauty that make this corner of Denmark so unique and rejuvenating.
